Plans for 2012

"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." -- Proverbs 16:3

2012 is going to be an exciting year and a year of opportunities.

• It will be Riverwood’s 60th anniversary and plans are being made for a homecoming on March 25th.
• We will be using the One Year Bible to encourage Bible reading and Bible study. More info is available on the One Year Bible page.
• We want to use 2012 to begin a more intensive debt payoff. There is still a debt of approximately $115,000 remaining on the first floor remodeling project. We have scheduled three sacrificial giving Sundays – March 18, June 24, and September 30. We pray that we will all plan our giving so that we can have $7,000 over and above our regular contribution on each of those Sundays to put toward that debt.

As we prepare for 2012, there are three things we would like to ask of each of us:

• Pray – pray for Riverwood, for our ministers, our staff, our deacons, our ministry leaders, each member and for us as elders, pray for the lost. Go through the church directory and pray for each person by name. Take the bulletin home and pray for each person on the prayer list by name.
• Plan - plan to be a part of worship services, Bible classes and activities. Plan to spend time in God’s Word. Plan your giving. If you’re not involved in a ministry, find something to be involved in.
• Give - give not only financially but also of your time, your talents, and your love. We are the body of Christ and reflect him in all that we do.
