Bible Classes
Studying God's Word is the only way for His children to know
His will. In addition to Bible based lessons during times of
worship, Riverwood has classes for all ages during Bible
study times - from pre-school through adult classes. We are
blessed with tremendous Bible teachers and educational
supervisors. Adult classes are listed below.

Sunday Morning Adult Classes - 10:20 a.m.
The Gospel of John
Taught by Kirk Waite in the Auditorium
John's gospel tells the story of Christ in a beautiful way. He focuses not only on the signs and teachings of Christ but also on the theology of concepts such as the Word becoming flesh.
The Parables of Jesus
Taught by Bill Clark in Room 14
Since about one-third of Jesus' teaching was through parables , it seems that we would do well to
focus and concentrate on the more than thirty-three parables that we find in the four gospels .
It seems that the primary goal of most of the parables is to assist us in understanding the theme of
the "kingdom of heaven." It has been said that parables are earthly stories with heavenly meanings.
Jesus, as a Man on Earth (Young Families Class)
Taught by Dennis Green in the Fellowship Hall
In this study we will be looking at applicable lessons learned from Jesus' life-walk on earth.
The Gospel of Matthew

The profession history and position of the Taxgatherer, Maji and Wisemen will be explored. Why did God send Joseph and his family to Egypt? What was Nazareth like as Jesus grew up? The life of Christ is opened for a brief few days in the Masterfully written account of the life of Christ on earth. What evidence is there to show that Matthew was wring primarily to the Jews? What significance is there in the Hebrew letters for the name David as the genealogy of our Lord is revealed? Come join us as we look closely into this marvelous Gospel so we may emulate our Master!
The Prison Epistles (Young Marrieds Class)
Taught by Phil Sanders in Room 206-208
What led to Paul being imprisoned and writing the prison epistles? What do these letters reflect in Paul's life and ministry? We will study Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon and look at what Paul had to say to these first century Christians.
