After Jesus' resurrection, He appeared to the apostles who were hiding from the Jewish leaders behind locked doors. They were filled with joy at seeing the Lord and were now sure that He had indeed risen from the dead. Thomas was not among them however. When the other apostles told him that they had seen Jesus, he refused to believe their message without proof. "I won't believe it unless I see the nail wounds in His hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in His side." Eight days later Jesus appeared again to his apostles and Thomas got to see firsthand the risen Savior. Upon seeing, he believed. Jesus said, "blessed are those who believe without seeing me."
How blessed we are today for our belief in a risen savior. Praise God for the salvation of all who will believe!
