Psalm 27

Have you ever thought about what you desire the most? If you had one wish, what would it be?

David in Psalm 27 writes "The one thing I ask of the LORD- the thing I seek most- is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD's perfections and meditating in his Temple." David's greatest longing is to be in the presence of God. To be with our Lord. What an incredible longing.

Reflect today on the goodness of God. How incredible He is. How great His love for us. How He sees us. Hears us. May we today feel the love of Christ. May we taste of His goodness. May we see His goodness. May we long like David to be in His presence all the days of our life.

Prayer for Today:

Father, you are so mighty. So amazing. So gracious, loving, and just. We could be given a thousand years to praise you, and it would still fall short of the praise you deserve. We come to you exhausted, beaten down, frustrated, sometimes angry in the midst of life and all its difficulty. Help us to see things with your heart. See others with your heart. Help us to see the beauty of life. The beautiful way you have orchestrated our lives. Help us to live with faith in you and your promises. Let us see the way you surround us. How you protect us. Help us to trust in you alone. We are confident we will see your goodness, while we are living now. Help us to be brave and courageous waiting patiently on you. Trusting your timing. Give us endurance. Empower us with inner strength through your spirit. Let our roots grow down into your love keeping us strong. Help us to have the power to understand how wide, how long, how high, and how deep your love is. May we long every day to be in your presence. You are all that we need.
