Thankful in New Seasons

My transition to college was very chaotic and stressful. But I’m thankful for it because it got me out of my comfort zone. I don’t think I would’ve done some of the things I did if none of it happened. If you didn’t know, I found out the dorm that I was supposed to live in got shut down for the whole year. I had to live in a hotel for almost a week when I first moved to Auburn. It was a very hard time for me, I was so isolated from everyone and I had to get out of my comfort zone and go to things. But I trusted in God that everything would be ok.

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act. -Psalm 37:5

Through my whole transition into college I’ve learned that most people thought the same as me going into college. Like I didn’t know if I was ever going to make friends or that college was going to get better after the first few weeks. And people also thought those things. But what really helped me through my first few weeks was going to events at the Auburn Christian Student Center. I feel God led me there and wanted me to get involved with it. And now I have great friendships that were made from there. I’m thankful for these new friendships I’ve made and a place that feels like home.
