Psalm 139:18

Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.

Oh the comfort I find in these verses! The beginning of Psalms 139 gives context as to what David is expressing his joys about. He is explaining how God knows everything about him while also showing his gratitude for His ever present comfort.

Coming to college, I was shocked when I felt loneliness for the first time. The feeling that you have no friends to go to or be thinking about you is gut wrenching, but I took comfort in the fact that my God is thinking about me, watching over me, and comforting me even when I thought no one else was. He is always thinking about me. As explained in verse 17 and 18, Gods thoughts about us cannot be numbered.

He thinks about us so much that he already has made plans for us! I thank God every day for allowing me to experience this life with an amazing community around me! Take comfort in knowing that our God is always thinking of us. When times get tough, he is thinking of us. When there is a time to celebrate, he is thinking of us. And He is with us always.
